Engines/Tankers
Engine 1
Engine 1 is a 1989 American Eagle and is equipped with chimney fire, structural firefighting and heavy rescue equipment. It holds five firefighters, 1000 gallons of water, and contains general fire-fighting tools such as a positive pressure fan, air packs, hand tools, scene lighting, a generator for mobile lighting, ladders (extension, roof, and attic) and medical first-response equipment. Engine 1 is also our last “open” cab fire engine (the rear seats are not fully enclosed). The truck also holds water-supply equipment and spill-response supplies.
Engine 3
Engine 3 is a 2004 Sutphen Pumper-Tanker. It features a 1000 gallon tank and a 1500 gpm Hale pump. Engine 3 serves as our primary attack truck. It carries up to six firefighters plus equipment. This engine has all the necessary equipment for structural firefighting operations.
Engine 4
Engine 4 is a 2007 Sutphen Pumper-Tanker. It has been configured to carry a full complement of vehicle extrication equipment, to include hydraulic tools, hi-lift jacks, air bags and cribbing. Engine 4 is first out to all vehicle accidents. It is also fully functional at fires, with 2-inch handlines, a thermal camera, and salvage & overhaul equipment. Like Engine 3, it has a 1000 gallon tank and a 1500 gpm Hale pump.
Engine 5
Currently located at our North Station on Clay Point Road, Engine 5 is equipped with chimney fire and structural fire fighting equipment. It has a 1000 gallon tank and a 1500 gpm Hale pump, and carries firefighting tools such as a thermal imaging camera, positive pressure fan, air packs, spare bottles, hand tools, scene lighting, a generator for mobile lighting, ladders (extension, roof, and attic). The truck also holds water-supply equipment and spill-response supplies. Engine 5 is a 1997 Sutphen.
Engine 8
Engine 8 is a 2009 Sutphen Pumper with a 1000 gallon tank and a 1500 gpm Hale pump. It is based at St. Michael's Fire station on Route 15. It seats 8 comfortably, and carries a full complement of firefighting tools and equipment.
Engine 9
Engine 9 is a 2000 E-1 equipped with brush fire, chimney fire, and structural firefighting equipment. It holds eight firefighters, 1000 gallons of water, and contains general firefighting tools such as a positive pressure fan, five custom air packs, spare bottles, hand tools, scene lighting, a generator for mobile lighting, a hydraulic ladder rack, (with extension, roof, and attic ladders) and medical first-response equipment. The truck also holds water-supply equipment and spill-response supplies. Engine 9 has a 1250 gpm Hale pump and is based at St. Michael's Fire Station on Route 15.
