Compartment L3

L3 contains "pony" hose lines which are used for connecting a hydrant to the engine to refill the tank. A hydrant kit (lower left) has all the necessary connections to propertly dress a hydrant for water supply. L3 also has a high rise kit that is used to connect hoses in multi-story building that have sprinkler connections (typically in the stair well areas). This eliminates the need to stretch hose lines up many flights of stairs. Also pictured are several tarps which are used for various needs while on scene.
